Lorena Hegdal
Director, Engineering

Lorena Hegdal is the Director of Engineering for Alyeska Pipeline and oversees the Alyeska Engineering staff in Valdez, Anchorage, Fairbanks, and the Pump Stations. Ms. Hegdal has been with Alyeska since April 2000 and has served in roles of Contract Team Lead, Pump Station 7 Supervisor, and Operations Advisor.

Prior to Alyeska, Ms. Hegdal worked for the State Department of Transportation and Public Facilities for 24 years in numerous capacities. She has spent most of her career in Fairbanks but also worked in Anchorage and Nome.

Ms. Hegdal received a degree in Civil Engineering in May 1977 from the University of Alaska.

Ms. Hegdal is actively involved in the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) at the UAF campus. She is also a supporter of the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP) at University of Alaska.

Ms. Hegdal lives in Fairbanks with her husband Ian. She has two grown children, Charlie and Kyle.
