Kevin Hostler
President & Chief Executive Officer
Kevin
Hostler is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Alyeska
Pipeline Service Company. Mr. Hostler is the ninth executive to lead
Alyeska since the company was established in 1970.
Alyeska operates and maintains the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS)
for five Owner Companies (BP, Chevron, Conoco Phillips, Exxon Mobil and
Koch). TAPS is one of the premier pipeline systems in the U. S.
transporting crude oil from the North Slope of Alaska to a terminus at
Valdez for loading on tankers. TAPS transports approximately 14 percent
of U. S. crude oil supply and is accountable for 25 percent of the West
Coast deliveries. Alyeska oversees a $500 million per annum, plus budget
to ensure the high reliability and security of supply. Alyeska is
currently overseeing a half billion dollar upgrade for the TAPS system.
Prior to joining Alyeska, Mr. Hostler served as the Senior Vice
President for BP's global human resources organization where he was
responsible for providing human resources support in over 80 countries.
Prior to that, Mr. Hostler was the Business Unit Leader and Associate
President of BP’s subsidiary in Colombia.
Mr. Hostler has had a diverse 30-year career in the Oil and Gas
Industry, including 27 years with BP. He has had leadership assignments
in the United States, England, Scotland, and Columbia. Mr. Hostler has
extensive experience in the production and operations side of the
business. Among other positions, he has served as Operations Manager in
the Gulf of Mexico and Offshore Installation Manager in the North Sea.
Early in his career Mr. Hostler worked on several projects in Alaska.
Mr. Hostler is currently on the boards of the Alaska Oil and Gas
Association, the Association of Oil Pipelines and the American Petroleum
Institute. Mr. Hostler is on the Advisory Board for the University of
Alaska, Anchorage and he is Co-Chair of the University of Alaska in
Fairbanks Vision Task Force. Mr. Hostler also serves on the Advisory
Council for the Texas A&M Center for International Studies.
Mr. Hostler is a member of the Providence Hospital Alaska Foundation
Board and Chairman of the Corporate Council of the Providence Alaska
Foundation. Mr. Hostler is also a member of the Governance Board of the
Foraker Group. Mr. Hostler was Chairperson of the 2006 American Heart
Association Heart Walk in Alaska.
Mr. Hostler graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor's
degree in chemical engineering. He has been associated with several
industry associations and has worked previously with the American
International Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Hostler is married. He and his wife, Becky, have two adult children.
