Dorothy
Pender is the Pipeline Maintenance Engineering Supervisor for
Alyeska Pipeline. She came to Alyeska in 1997 as a Maintenance
Engineer and has since held many leadership positions within the
engineering group. Dorothy received her B.S. degree in
electrical engineering and computer science from the University
of Colorado, Boulder. She then went on to earn her masters and
Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
Dorothy later moved to Fairbanks to become a professor of
electrical engineering at UAF. Dorothy and her husband John are
longtime residents of Fairbanks where they are raising their two
children, John and Julia.
