Alyeska's Fleet Maintenance Team wins industry's top honors
Alyeska’s Fleet Maintenance Team working in conjunction with ASRC Energy
Services Pipeline, Power and Communications, Inc. (PPC) won first place
in the inaugural Fleet Masters Award presented by the Association of
Equipment Management Professionals and Construction Equipment Magazine. The
award honors the nation's best public and private sector equipment
managers.

Alyeska fleet manager Dave Greenlee accepted the award for private-sector
fleet management at the association's Annual Management Conference in Las
Vegas on March 13th.
Judges reviewed and scored nominations based on the quality of
fleet-management strategies and goals, innovative management strategies
and managers' success in meeting their fleet maintenance goals.
"This award is a credit to the highly qualified group of professionals who
meet unique challenges of operating and maintaining Trans Alaska Pipeline
System vehicles," said Dan Hisey, Alyeska's Chief Operating Officer. "It
also underscores Alyeska's commitment to preventive maintenance throughout
the pipeline system."
Alyeska's fleet management program provides a wide range of fleet services
for the company's fleet of almost 2,000 automobiles, trucks, heavy
equipment and specialized mobile equipment. Greenlee and his team use
special computer software to create maintenance schedules, track vehicle
performance history and streamline replacement procedures. The team
emphasizes preventive maintenance to keep Alyeska's fleet safe, reliable
and productive.
"Preventive maintenance keeps Alyeska's vehicles performing at their
absolute best and helps ensure that employees are safe," said Greenlee.
ASRC Energy Services Pipeline, Power and Communications, Inc. has
helped maintain the TAPS equipment fleet since 1996 and has performed
maintenance on the entire pipeline system and Valdez Marine Terminal since
1998.
