Pump Station Power Supply:
Crews prepare to place cable, connect electricity at
reconfigured stations
For the past year workers have been preparing Pump Stations 1,
3, 4 and 9 to receive new pumping systems and operating
equipment. The project called Strategic Reconfiguration will
upgrade and standardize equipment by placing new
electric-motor-driven pumps at the reconfigured stations in an
effort to reduce costs, improve operating efficiency, and
increase pipeline safety and reliability.

Alyeska contributes to successful engineering program
The University of Alaska Anchorage's Alaska
Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP) has a 70
percent retention rate, which is impressive when compared to
the 27 percent national average retention rate for indigenous
engineering students in similar programs. Alyeska was one of
the initial financial supporters of ANSEP and remains a major
contributor.
