HOW ARE WE DOING

This month’s Alyeska newsletter has a new look and feel, but its contents remain the same: Stories and information about the projects and people that make the Trans Alaska Pipeline System an important and special part of the state of Alaska.

The pipeline itself is getting a new look and feel too, as we move forward with our Strategic Reconfiguration project. This large-scale effort is modernizing the pipeline, replacing 30-year-old pump station equipment with newer, more efficient pumps and control systems. Already, these new pumps are moving oil at Pump Stations 3 and 9, and we’ve started Strategic Reconfiguration work at Pump Station 4. Pump Station 1 will be the final station to undergo this mechanical makeover, and we believe the end result will be a pipeline that stands prepared for another generation of safe and reliable operations.

This is an exciting and dynamic time to be a part of Alyeska and helping position the company for the next 30 years.
