JPO APPROVES ALYESKAS QUALITY PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
|
ANCHORAGE, AK. APRIL 9, 1996. -- Alyeska Pipeline
Service Company announced today that the Joint Pipeline Office (JPO) has approved the
implementation of the current revision of Alyeskas Quality Program. The approval
comes at the end of an intense effort by workers on the Trans Alaska Pipeline System
(TAPS) to take the necessary steps to ensure the program is in place, operational, and
consistently followed. Alyeska has been operating under conditional approval of the latest
revision, Revision 8.1, of the Quality Program since May 1995.
"It took a lot of hard work by everyone to get to this
approval, and were all proud of the fact that we made it. The approval by the JPO is
a milestone, not an end point. Alyeska is now working to improve on the program that we
implemented," said Lee Jones, Operations System Integrity Manager.
