ALYESKA ANNOUNCES VOLUNTARY SEPARATION PROGRAM

ANCHORAGE, AK -- June 6, 1996 -- Alyeska Pipeline Service Company announced today that 90 employees have volunteered to leave the company over the next two years under the company's Voluntary Separation Program. The program was offered to employees as part of an overall Facilities Ramp Down Plan approved by the Owner Companies in February. Under the Ramp Down Plan, Pump Stations 8 and 10 will be placed on standby this summer.

Fewer personnel will be needed with the ramp down of the facilities. Alyeska is currently working on plans to balance the employees who will remain with the company with positions which are available.
