Call Named as Alaska Native Program Manager
|
ANCHORAGE, AK - February 4, 1999 -
Alyeska Pipeline Service Company announced today that Debra Call has joined the company as
the Alaska Native Program Manager. In this role, Ms. Call is responsible for Alyeska's
Alaska Native Utilization program, and will act as the liaison between Alyeska Pipeline,
its contractors and the Alaska Native community. Alyeska's Alaska Native program includes
training, placement, mentoring, scholarships and employment opportunities.
Prior to coming to Alyeska, Ms. Call was
the Director of Non-Profit Services with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI). She also served
as Project Analyst for Corporate Development and Human Resources Manager for CIRI. Ms.
Call served as the Executive Vice President for the Community Enterprise Development
Corporation of Alaska and as an instructor in Native American Studies and Small Business
Management at Washington State University. Ms. Call was a finalist for the YWCA/BP Woman
of Achievement in 1997 and was nominated for the Athena Award from the Anchorage Chamber
of Commerce in 1998. Ms. Call is also a member of the Board of Directors for the United
Way of Anchorage.
Ms. Call received her Bachelor of Arts in
Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from Washington State
University. Ms. Call is a lifelong resident of the Anchorage area and is married to Dr.
Rusty Gump, veterinarian with Hillside Pet Clinic.
