ANCHORAGE, AK – September 12, 2001 10:00 AM – At 12:30 AM, Wednesday, September 12, 2001 Alyeska Pipeline Service Company received approval from the United States Coast Guard to resume loading tanker operations at the Valdez Marine Terminal.

Loading operations began earlier this morning on the tanker Overseas Chicago and the tanker B/T Alaska.

Alyeska remains at a heightened level of security.
