ALYESKA REPORT
WEEK OF APRIL 20, 1998

Surplus Fire Trucks Donated to Pipeline Communities

Alyeska Pipeline Service company is donating four fire trucks to volunteer fire departments along the pipeline corridor. Recipient communities are Delta Junction, Kenny Lake, the North Star Borough and Copper Center. Historically required for pump stations, the low-mileage trucks became surplus equipment with the ramp down of four pump stations.

The trucks will be donated during Nobody Gets Hurt Week, May 18-24, which focuses on household and community safety.
