Alyeska partnered with Ahtna, Inc to host the kick-off of Nobody Gets Hurt Week in Copper Center on May 16.

The annual pipeline-wide safety awareness week focuses on keeping Alyeska employees, contractors and neighboring communities safe.

Alyeska’s donation of a fire truck and ambulance to Copper Center and a fire truck to Kenny Lake highlighted the event. Water safety demonstrations by Alyeska SERVS and the U.S. Coast Guard were open to the community and Northern Performance offered an ATV Safety Riding Course to residents 18 and over. Refreshments, music and balloons welcomed the arrival of the emergency vehicles.

The low-mileage trucks became surplus equipment with the ramp down of four Alyeska pump stations.
