WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 07, 2000

Greg Jones Names Senior VP for Valdez

Greg Jones has been named Alyeska Pipeline Service Company’s new Senior Vice President for the Valdez Business Unit. Jones fills the position left open when Dan Hisey took over as Chief Operating Officer for Alyeska. Jones begins his new position immediately. As Senior Vice President, Jones is responsible for all aspects of the Valdez Business Unit and will report directly to Hisey.

"Greg has successfully managed both major assets in Valdez and demonstrated strong leadership skills in those positions. I’m confident of the experience he brings to this position," Hisey said.

Jones came to Alyeska at the end of 1997 following 20 years of service with the Coast Guard. Jones managed the Ship Escort Response Vessel System for Alyeska then assumed the duties as terminal manager, the position he has held for the last year.

Hisey has continued his responsibilities overseeing the Valdez terminal until naming his replacement this week. Jones will name a new manager for the terminal in the near future.
