Senior Pipeline Director

John is the Senior Pipeline Director responsible for operations and maintenance of the Pipeline.

John joined Alyeska in early 1977 as a technician and helped with the startup of the Valdez Marine Terminal. During his twenty-three years in Valdez John worked as an operations technician, operations supervisor, SERVS response and logistics manager, oil movements/marine team lead and as terminal operations manager.

John and his family moved to Fairbanks in 2000 and John assisted with the TAPS right-of-way permit renewal effort as Compliance Advisor. John joined the Pipeline Operations and Maintenance team in 2002 where he has served as a Pipeline Advisor, Pipeline Manager and most recently as Senior Pipeline Director.

John was born and raised in Alaska. He and his wife Sheilah enjoy the Alaskan outdoors and especially the hiking trails and warm summers in the Fairbanks area. They have four grown sons and two grandchildren.
