2023 AFN TAPS Spotlight: Sam Bailey — Leadership, Partnership, Family

Each year at the Alaska Federation of Natives Conference, Alyeska leadership presents on the Alaska Native Utilization Agreement and plays a video spotlighting standout Alaska Native employees and community partners on TAPS to inspire future Alaska Native leaders. This year, we proudly featured Sam Bailey, Automation Supervisor at Alyeska’s Operations Control Center. Sam and his team are on the cutting edge of innovation, and their work keeps our pipeline systems and operations safe. He originally came to Alyeska as an intern and graduate from the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program. Today, he pays it forward, mentoring the future generation at ANSEP and bringing interns onto his team with hopes of eventually hiring them. Sam is also the proud father to Kierann Bailey, a recent UAA graduate who also has strong ties to ANSEP and is part of this video feature. #TAPSPride
