Greg Youngmun joined Alyeska in June 2022 as Vice President and General Counsel. Before joining Alyeska, Greg worked at BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. for over 15 years as Senior Counsel in several upstream roles focusing on labor and employment, Prudhoe Bay commercial and regulatory matters, governance, Alaska LNG and OBO operations, and as senior midstream counsel for BP Pipelines (Alaska) Inc. Prior to that Greg was in private practice in Anchorage working on labor and employment, commercial, corporate governance and real estate matters.

Greg was born in Albuquerque and came to Alaska in the 1970’s, where he has lived for more than 45 years. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado and his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law. Greg and his wife Pam, a lifelong Alaskan, have four children, two boys and two girls. In his spare time, Greg enjoys sports and the outdoors, and you can usually find him biking, hiking, skiing or snow machining.
