Celebrating TAPS milestone in Juneau
TAPS does not travel through Juneau, but it certainly has a constant presence there. With the Alaska Legislature in session, Alyeska kicked off its yearlong celebration of 45 years of TAPS operations with a reception in Juneau earlier this week. Alyeska Interim President Danika Yeager, Vice President/CFO Lisa Booth and a handful of Alyeska staff hosted Lt. Governor Kevin Meyer, Commissioner Cori Feige, Senators and Representatives and their staff from across the state at the Andrew P. Kashevaroff Library Archives and Museum (which has a very cool TAPS exhibit, btw!). Senator Click Bishop, a former TAPS worker, partnered with Representatives David Nelson and George Rauscher to sponsor an Alaska Legislature citation honoring the 45th anniversary of TAPS operations, which they presented a framed copy of to Danika Yeager at the reception. Certainly a special way to start a milestone year! #TAPSPride
