Longtime Alyeska employee Lisa Booth advances to Vice President, CFO position

Longtime Alyeska employee Lisa Booth has been hired to the executive position of Vice President, Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Her advancement marks the first time an Alaska Native person has been selected to a Vice President position within our company. And she is the first Alyeska employee to lead the CFO Division in more than a dozen years.

Lisa is a 21-year Alyeska employee who first joined the company through the internship program. Most recently, she has served as Alyeska’s General Audit Manager for more than two years. As CFO, Lisa will lead the CFO Division and its teams like Contracts and Procurement, Business and Strategic Planning, Accounting and Payroll, Audit, Information Technology, and Cyber Security.

“I am beyond excited to join the Executive Team and the responsibility that comes with a role like this isn’t lost on me,” she said. “But I find strength when I look across the CFO Division and see all the people I have worked so closely with for over 20 years – I’m both honored and humbled. We’ll keep pushing the CFO Division forward by strengthening internal business partnerships, evolving with technology, and guarding against business disruptions.”

Lisa will begin as CFO next week. As a member of Alyeska’s Executive Team, Lisa will report to Brigham McCown, Alyeska President.

“I am pleased that we have found an outstanding individual to fill this critical role – Lisa knows our business well, and has made strong contributions to our culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement,” said Brigham. “She is committed to increasing our business competencies, and ensuring our financial wellbeing is sustainable well into the future.”

Brigham added, “Please join me in congratulating Lisa on this next step in her career and for our company.”

As an intern in December 1999, through the Building Foundations for Excellence Program (BFEP), Lisa worked as a contract administrator. Since, she has held positions of increasing responsibility in Business Planning, IT, HR and Supply Chain Management. She was Business and Strategic Planning Director and the Alaska Native Program Director before taking on the General Audit Manager role. Lisa has also served on the Alyeska Alaska Native Program’s Advisory Board since 2010.

“As I think about taking on my next role as the VP CFO, I can’t help but be reflective of my career at Alyeska,” Lisa said. “Starting as a CFO BFEP participant in 1999, I have had so many opportunities and definitely weaved myself around the organization. I was able to take on new roles every few years which provided me a unique and broad level of experiences on TAPS, from Contracts & Procurement, Business & Strategic Planning to the Alaska Native Program and Internal Audit. But most important to me, I was fortunate to make connections with so many great people that make me proud to work for Alyeska.”

Lisa grew up in Metlakatla, and is Tsimshian, Yupik and Alutiiq. Her parents and maternal family still live in Metlakatla, while her father is originally from Bethel and her maternal grandfather is from Ninilchik. Lisa has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Master’s of Business Administration in Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is a current board member for Campfire Alaska.
