On TAPS, our talented technicians are the ultimate behind-the-scenes players, their work critical to safe and reliable pipeline operations. Last year, Alyeska added a Technician of the Year honor to its annual Atigun Awards. There’s no hiding behind the scenes for this year’s recipient: Sailor Williams. He’s a super-skilled, well-liked, problem-solving instrumentation technician at Pump Station 1. He’s known for his passionate ownership of his work while also jumping at opportunities to help others, troubleshoot and fix problems, and learn new things.
